THEMES
The themes and activities below will very likely come up at the game, at the very least in conversation. Players can always walk away or decline to actively participate but they could be discussed or happen around you.
- Seeing people kiss or make out
- The theme of sex or sexual acts coming up in conversation
- People walking around in underwear or topless
- Performance of burlesque/strip tease art
- Homosexuality
- Violence (Physical and verbal as in slapping, fist fights, screaming, cussing etc...)
- Spousal abuse
- Substance abuse (alcohol, morphine, cocaine, heroin)
- Addiction
- War (WW I)
- Death
Players may choose to opt out of having any or all of the topics listed below present in their character. The following topics will thus be clearly stated as content warnings in the character blurbs for players to choose which characters to sign up for:

- Death of a loved one
- Death of a child and/or inability to conceive
The themes following below will not be present at Burn Bright Young Thing whatsoever:
- Pedophilia
- Portrayal / themes of non-consensual sexual acts of any kind
- Discrimination/bigotry— including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-Semitism, ableism, and ageism

- You want a historically accurate reenactment concerning, but not limited to, gender roles, costume and the portrayal of sexual orientation.

- You feel that you cannot enjoy yourself without real alcohol in game.
